January 2020 The meeting was attended by 50 members with 20 staying for brunch, business meeting and program. The main subject of the meeting was about finding a more reasonably priced venue. Several options were discussed. Frank Del Greco updated us on the recent changes at the NAWCC headquarters. The program was a DVD entitled "Chelsea Automotive, Ship and Aircraft Clocks" originally given by Mark Dusky in 1997. What made the program more interesting was the presence of Mark himself. He gave an update of his collection activities and a show and tell of several Chelsea ship clocks and automobile clocks. He said that was entertaining to see himself in a 23 year old video. ---Ginny Sims, Secretary Chapter 28, NAWCC The program for the March 8, 2020 meeting will be a DVD entitled "MILITARY WRIST WATCHES" by Lehr Dircks. Lehr gave this presentation in 2001 at the wrist watch symposium, in Covington, Kentucky. Special Notice: Immediately after our meeting is over, the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club will be having a "Chili Cookoff. If you decide to stay for the festivities, it will cost you $10. The proceeds go to fund various charities for the veterans. At 2 am on March 28, set your clocks ahead 1 hour for daylight saving time. ---GINNY SIMS, secretary Chapter 28 NAWCC 724-253-2914 resttime@earthlink.net Website: nawcc28.org |
